Our state-of-the-art rotary diamond engraving system combined with the latest Vision-Pro software allows us to achieve incredible engravings on Opinel knives. We can engrave words, monograms, and symbols with little or no turnaround time. Specialty fonts and custom engravings such as your own art work, signature etc...are available upon request. (email us).

Engraving locations
Engravings are placed on the blade opposite side of the logo. Area "1" is the most commonly used. Area "2" is an other engraving location option that can be selected on the item detail page. Engravings are located towards the top of the blade to allow for future sharpening space/erosion.

Engraving Text
1 word, 2 words, 3 words, symbol, etc... We can place symbols and words in one engraving.  In most cases this type of engraving can be order online but you can email or call with questions if you like. You can also contact us if you would like your engraving to be placed in an other location. Please note that we are not authorized to engrave on Opinel wood handle.

Engraving note: Placing dots (.), dashes (-), etc... between words does not make them one (1) word. Please select your engraving option accordingly. Order showing unpaid engraving requests will be shipped without engraving. Please select your engraving option in the "Engraving Option" drop-down menu. (highlighted area below)

Engraving Fonts Styles
Below are examples of standard fonts offered on OpiKnife. An attractive font adds the final touch to your message. On a wedding gift, use a cursive font for an elegant look. For a formal business recognition gift, Roman or Century are popular choices. Use your imagination to make the message truly stand out! Samples of all of our fonts are below.
Note: Please contact us if you would like a specific font, we most likely  have it and are  able to accommodate your choice free of charges.

Monograms
Below are examples of standard fonts offered on OpiKnife. We have the ability to use other fonts if you do not like the ones below. Please call or email for font availability.

Monogram Etiquette
When engraving a monogram for one person, we recommend placing the first initial of the last name in the center (and making it larger) with the first initial of the first name to the left and first initial of middle name to the right. So:
Jennifer Ann Smith would appear as ^JS^A. 

Please, keep in mind that monograms are not built like "initials". Initials are 2 or 3 letter of the same size,  if you want initials just select that option and enter the letters exactly the way you want us to engrave it.

While creating you order on the item's listing you will be asked to enter the 3 names of the gift recipient, just replace the question marks with the names.

 "Enter mono to be engraved":First Name(??) Last Name(??)MiddleName(??)"
